Compassionate Support with depression, anxiety, relationships
Effective, supportive and caring counselling
Finding the right person to talk to can seem daunting. It may seem overwhelming or even frightening to make the first step. I hope that this introduction will help with those fears. I am a warm, caring, thoughtful and compassionate person in everyday life and feel these qualities are integral to my work as a counsellor. I will do my very best to provide a nurturing and safe environment to enable to you talk about what you are experiencing.
Sometimes talking to a relative or friend is enough but there may be times when we feel unable to do this. We may not want to burden them or cause them pain. They may not be impartial or they may try to tell us what to do. Feeling alone at such times of emotional distress can leave us feeling unable to cope with everyday life and our thoughts and feelings.
Life-changing events, such as bereavement, divorce, job loss or redundancy are disorientating and feel impossible to accept. Perhaps you feel you have no reason to feel low and anxious but that is how you are feeling. These feelings may be new to you or you may feel they have been with you for a long time, perhaps from past relationships or childhood.
Whatever you are experiencing, the support I am able to give as a qualified (MBACP Accredited), experienced counsellor can help you to find a way to move forward in your life.
The next tabs will tell you a little bit more about me and what counselling can help with. If you would rather just pick up the phone please do. I will get back to you in a timely manner as I know how difficult making that first move can be.
