I am a warm, caring, thoughtful and compassionate person in everyday life and feel these qualities are extremely valuable in my work as a counsellor.
I know it can be a big step to come to counselling and I will do my very best to provide a nurturing and safe environment to enable to you talk about what you are experiencing. Things can build up and get on top of all of us for many reasons, and sometimes quite unexpectedly. At the moment, we are also in a situation that was unforeseen a year ago and has had a huge impact on us all individually and as a society.
Anxiety, depression, feeling sad, panic attacks and low self-esteem may be among the things that you are experiencing and I would welcome the opportunity to support you with these.
I have several years’ experience working for charitable organisations as well as privately. I have also worked in the NHS. I have some experience in mediation. Although I have worked with a wide variety of clients I appreciate that everyone experiences similar issues and concerns quite differently. I work with individuals and couples.
I also welcome students who require counselling as part of their training course - I am humanistically trained but am also familiar with integrative models.
